Cranberry fitness courts to be unveiled to public
Cranberry Township and the Cranberry Foundation will unveil new fitness courts in the UPMC Passavant Sportsplex at Graham Park. The facilities will give residents a space to workout and be active.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the fitness courts, located near the soccer fields in the rear of the park.
The work was supported by a $30,000 grant from the National Fitness Campaign and donations from the Cranberry Foundation.
“Township officials, Foundation representatives, community partners and supporters will mark the launch of this new community amenity, designed to provide outdoor fitness opportunities for Cranberry residents and visitors,” a news release said.
The courts, developed by the National Fitness Campaign, is a “38’ x 38’ circuit training system featuring 118 workout elements and the ability to accommodate up to 28 users at once.”
