Karen Pierce
Karen Lynn Pierce, 75, of Slippery Rock, passed away at Quality Life Services — Grove City, on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Karen was born in Pittsburgh to William F. Jena and Janet J. Sexton.
Karen married D. Jeffry Pierce on May 15, 1971. She graduated from Norwin High School.
Karen was the secretary to her husband, D. Jeffry Pierce, former director of community planning for Olsen and Associates. Together, they started their own company called Data Plan. They worked together until his death on April 27, 2015.
Karen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and making quilts and stockings for others. She most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three adult children, Josh (Greta) Pierce, of Slippery Rock, Beth Pierce, of Slippery Rock, and J. Wyatt (Casey) Pierce, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; brother, Bill (Kathy) Jena, of Sharpsville; and six grandchildren, Lennon, Marshal, Elliot and Mallory, and Zander and Levi.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jeff.
PIERCE — The family will celebrate the life of Karen Lynn Pierce, who died Thursday, July 23, 2026, by receiving family and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Karen’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
