Cindy Wolfe
Cindy S. Wolfe, 68, of Harrisville, passed away peacefully in the company of her family Wednesday morning, July 22, 2026, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Cindy was born in Distant, Armstrong County, on Dec. 20, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary Lou Shick Hans.
She was a graduate of Knoch High School in Saxonburg. She enjoyed camping, the company of her family, most especially her grandkids, playing cornhole, fishing, riding her golf cart and horses.
In her earlier years, she was employed by Friedman’s in Saxonburg and was later employed by AT&T as a TTY operator.
She is survived by her husband, David L. “Dave” Wolfe, whom she married in Saxonburg on Oct. 3, 1981; three children, Kristy A. Preston, and her husband, Benjamin, of Harrisville, Andrea Fisher, and her husband, Larry, of Butler, and her stepson, Jason Tarr, and his wife, Dimpna, of Butler.
She was affectionately “grandma Cindy” to her five grandchildren, Natalie Fedorchak, Caitlyn and Landen Fisher, and Audrie and Carson Tarr. A brother survives, Randy Hans and his wife, Cheryl, of Cowansville; her mother-in-law, Mary Wolfe, of Cowansville; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna Hillwig, and her husband, Jimmy, of East Brady, Cindy Northime, of Cowansville, and Ella Baker, and her husband, Paul, of Chicora; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Brenda; and her father-in-law, Lewis “Bub” Wolfe.
WOLFE — Family and close friends of Cindy S. Wolfe, who died Wednesday, July 22, 2026, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF CHICORA, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Everhard, pastor of the Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Valencia, officiating.
