The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced upcoming road closures and road modifications for two road construction projects.

The final paving of Route 228 is set to begin July 22 and run through July 31. Work will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day. Paving will take place from Mars Valencia to Davis roads. Traffic will be restricted to one lane with flaggers.

PennDOT also said Monroe Road in Buffalo Township will be closed between the intersections of Kepple and South Pike roads July 28 for a drainage pipe replacement.

Both projects are weather dependent.
