Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission gives educational grant to Fishing for Memories

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced grant awards to nonprofit Fishing for Memories in Oakland Township as part of an ongoing education grant program.
According to a news release, $197,446 in grant funding went to 16 education projects in 13 counties, including the Butler County nonprofit, as part of the R3 Education Grant Program. The program is an effort to promote interest in fishing and boating through the recruitment of new participants, retention of existing participants and reactivation of former participants.
All projects funded must be completed by June 30, 2027, the release said.
