Saxonburg woman accused of hitting man with bat
A Saxonburg woman is accused of striking a man in the hip with a baseball bat.
Jessica Daryl Krchelich, 38, was charged Monday, July 13, by state police with misdemeanor simple assault following a June 26 incident.
Police said the man who was struck went to the station to report the incident July 1. He said while he and Krchelich were arguing June 26, she picked up a bat and struck him in the left hip.
Krchelich described the bat as a T-ball bat.
The man said he was then able to grab the bat from Krchelich, then she shoved him, causing the man to fall through a baby gate, police said.
Krchelich’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
