Ukrainian Orthodox archbishop to visit Sts. Peter and Paul church
Archbishop Daniel Zelinsky and several seminarians from St. Sophia Seminary in South Bound Brook, New Jersey, will visit Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora Sunday, July 19.
According to a news release from Ss. Peter and Paul, Zelinsky will deliver the homily during the Divine Liturgy, which begins at 9:30 a.m. The church will open before 8:45 a.m. to receive Zelinsky.
A luncheon will take place following the service.
Zelinsky serves as the president of the Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, as well as archbishop of Pamphylia and the Western Eparchy of the church.
“His Eminence has become known throughout the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and beyond as one to whom others can turn to for advice, compassion and honest reflection. As a renowned speaker, he is frequently invited to present lectures and reflections to various Christian parishes and organizations,” a release from Ss. Peter and Paul read.
