Retail Confectioners International, a trade association that represents independent chocolate makers, candy shops and confectionery suppliers, awarded a Saxonburg business with its Candy Clinic Award for “Best Summer Idea” during the 2026 RCI Candy Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Speckled Hen Chocolate Company received the award in early June for its fully functional wine glass made out of tempered chocolate with a pretzel stem.

The company also earned finalist honors for its Hot Honey Cream for the Grand Confection Award during the convention.
