A 59-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, July 4, in Mercer County, according to state police in Mercer.

Scott A. Arnold, of Wheatland, was pronounced dead at UPMC Jameson Hospital about half an hour after the crash, which occurred at 12:34 p.m. at the intersection of New Castle Road and Pulaski Mercer Road in Wilmington Township.

Police said Arnold proceeded passed a stop sign and into the path of a Kia Telluride, which did not have a stop sign. The Kia contained a two adult passengers who were treated for minor injuries at the scene and a 1-year-old passenger who was not injured.
