Butler County man killed after boat capsized in Lake Erie, coroner says
A Butler County man was pronounced dead after a boat capsized in Lake Erie Tuesday morning.
David Rodgers, 63, of Chicora, was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot hospital in Erie around 10: 30 a.m. June 30, Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said.
The Erie Times-News reported the news first.
Rodgers had been fishing with four other men when Erie County 911 received a call shortly before 7:30 a.m. Emergency crews responded to reports of a capsized boat.
