Interstate 79 will be closed between exit 83 for Route 528 and Evans City and exit 87 for Route 68 and Zelienople for about 30 minutes beginning at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, in Butler County.

The interstate will be closed for state police to conduct crash reconstruction, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes.

PennDOT community relations coordinator Tina Gibbs said state police did not inform her which crash was being reconstructed.
