A Chicora man is being held in Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail for allegedly shoving a state trooper twice during a traffic stop.

Zaine Christ Karenbauer, 21, was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over Saturday, June 13, in Chicora for a summary vehicle code violation, state police said. When troopers removed Karenbauer from the vehicle, they say he shoved one of the troopers twice.

Karenbauer was charged Tuesday with felony assault of a law enforcement officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
