Hope’s Road hosting two bereavement group sessions
Hope’s Road, formerly Good Samaritan Hospice’s Youth Bereavement Care, will host two free Youth Bereavement Care Drop-In Sessions for young individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one.
The free sessions will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 29, and from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15.
The June 29 session for grieving children and their families will take place at the Hope’s Road Middlesex Office, 116 Browns Hill Road, Middlesex Township. Participants will make lemonade and share sweet memories while finding ways to navigate life. Registration is encouraged by June 26, but walk-ins are welcome.
The July 15 session will take place at Middlesex Township Park, 133 Browns Hill Road, Middlesex Township. Children can participate in a group story reading about coping with change, while teens and young adults can take part in a guided nature walk. A caricature artist will also be at the park, offering fun family drawings for attendees to enjoy. Registration is encouraged by July 13, but walk-ins are welcome.
Both sessions will offer a creative craft for all ages and refreshments. Children must be accompanied by an adult. While Hope’s Road programming is rooted in the Christian faith and includes prayer, it is open to all faiths and backgrounds.
