Severe thunderstorm warning in effect Sunday
The National Weather Service Pittsburgh issued a severe thunderstorm warning Sunday, June 14, for parts of Western Pennsylvania including northern Butler County, which is in effect until 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service said the affected areas could also see gusts of wind reaching 60 miles per hour and small hail. Roofs, siding and trees may be damaged in the storm.
The service advises that people in the affected area seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
