Butler residents with a sweet tooth will soon have a new way to satiate their cravings along Main Street.

Jenn and Matt McConnell, co-owners of The Sweet Gremlin bakery, announced Saturday, June 6, the business will be moving to 200-202 N. Main St. in Butler — the former Natili North Pizza Shoppe location.

The business had recognized its last day at its Petrolia location after nearly five years of operation on May 25. The Petrolia location closed ahead of the announced move to Butler.

“This is more than just a new address. It’s an opportunity for us to create a unique dessert experience for downtown; thanks to a partnership with Experience Butler County,” the couple wrote on a Saturday Facebook post.

The couple said in the post they were excited to be a part of Butler Downtown and to welcome customers new and old.

They said work to turn the location into “a space that feels like home for The Sweet Gremlin” is ongoing, but there is a plan to announce the location’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony in the future.

“Thank you for supporting us through every step of this journey. We wouldn’t be here without you,” the post read.
