Seneca Valley High School’s class officers
Seneca Valley Senior High School had its commencement ceremony Thursday, May 28, at NexTier Stadium. The speakers were academic speakers Samuel K. Boyer II, Sarah A. Ghaffar and speaker at-large Jillian E. Snyder. Audrey Wolfe lead the tassel ceremony.
Samuel Boyer II is the son of Samuel and Natalie Boyer, of Cranberry Township. He is president of the Key Club and former vice president of Future Business Leaders of America. He was also involved in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society student visionaries fundraising campaign and works at Treesdale Golf & Country Club. He plans to attend Carnegie Mellon University with a major in finance and a minor in economics.
Sarah Ghaffar is the daughter of Jabeen Osmani and Arif Ghaffar, of Cranberry Township. She is the Academic Decathlon President, youth and government president and a member of the student council and Science Honors Society. She plans to attend the University of Michigan and major in biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience.
Jillian Snyder is the daughter of Michael and Rebecca Snyder, of Cranberry Township. She is the Tri-M vice president, thespians secretary and a member of the Madrigal Choir, and Seneca Valley Concert and Treble choirs. She also works as a server at the Sherwood Oaks Retirement Home. She plans to attend Pennsylvania State University as part of the Schreyer Honors College and plans to double major in psychology and neuroscience.
Audrey Wolfe is the daughter of John and Meredith Wolfe, of Cranberry Township. She is senior class president, vice president of National Honor Society, track and field team captain, and a member of the Science Honors Society and the Seneca Valley Varsity Swim and Dive team. She plans to attend Pennsylvania State University with a major in neuroscience and a minor in visual arts while also planning to participate in track and field.
