Meet Portersville Christian School’s valedictorian and salutatorian
Portersville Christian School had its commencement ceremony Saturday, May 31, at the school.
The school’s valedictorian is Jacob Wise. The salutatorian is Alex Elmer.
Jacob has attended Portersville Christian School for 14 years. He has played on the soccer team for six years and the volleyball team for five years. He has also been in seven different theater productions during his time at PCS. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to attend Houghton University in the fall, where he will be participating in the London Honors program.
Alex has attended Portersville Christian School for the past five years, and resides in Zelienople, with his family. Throughout high school, he has been actively involved in student life, serving on Student Council, participating in five school musicals and remaining active in his church community. Alex served as captain and goalkeeper for the soccer team, played two seasons of basketball and competed as a middle hitter on the volleyball team. He will continue working at Lion Hill Farm, home of the Judah Strong Foundation. Alex plans to attend Geneva College, where he has been awarded the Pro Cristo Scholarship, the Legacy Scholarship and the Service Leadership Grant. He plans to major in Biology with the goal of becoming a physician while continuing his athletic career as a member of the college soccer team.
