Meet Butler Senior High School’s class officers for 2026

The commencement ceremony for Butler Senior High School begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Art Bernardi Stadium.

Dejamoura Griffin, class vice-president, will introduce the commencement theme and speaker: Georgi Tonini. She participated in auditions to speak on the commencement theme: “We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated.”

Savannah Flores Tavera, student council president, will announce the distinguished graduate.

Maxwell Davis, valedictorian, will deliver the class farewell. Maxwell is the son of Richard Davis and Carrie Morgan-Davis, of Butler. He is the co-founder of Butler BotsIQ and president of the National Honor Society. He is a National Merit Scholar Commendation winner, a Butler Engineering Club member and a four-year soccer player who lettered twice. Maxwell plans to attend Penn State University to study mechanical engineering.

Amara DiCerbo will sing the national anthem in the opening and the alma mater at the closing of the ceremony.

Kaden Kozik, class secretary, and Chloe Schoentag, class treasurer, will assist the board president and vice president in handing out diplomas.

Nineteen students will participate in reading the names of their fellow graduates.

The class officers are Brook Ellis, president; Dejamoura Griffin, vice president; Kaden Kozik, secretary; and Chloe Schoentag, treasurer.
