The Pittsburgh Steelers will host Denver in a 3 p.m. Black Friday game this season.

And while that won’t get in the way of the dates of the WPIAL football championships, it could impact the sites.

The WPIAL typically schedules a few of its six district championship games at Acrisure Stadium each season and a few more at another local high school. But whether Acrisure will host again this season is unclear.

WPIAL executive director Vince Sortino told TribLive.com he is not sure where the six championship games will be played, adding: “We were always set to play Saturday. We seldom play on Black Friday.”

TribLive reported the WPIAL does not have a contract in place with the stadium for Saturday, Nov. 28. Sortino said the league is accepting bids for the title games.
