Grove City students to present ceramic creations
Grove City High School ceramics students will present examples of their talent in an exhibition at the Grove City Historical Society.
Students will display their works from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, at 111 College Avenue, Grove City, in celebration of America’s Semiquincentennial. In the event of inclement weather, this outdoor exhibition will be rescheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.
The students have used art classes to hone their skills at sculpting lifelike busts of significant figures in American history. Their inspiration comes from admired family members, veterans, rock n’ roll icons and well-regarded role models, said a news release from the historical society.
While working on their busts, students also prepared artist statements, which will be displayed with their work to give the audience insight into their creative process.
