BC3 receives grant, plans to expand dual-credit programs
BUTLER ― Butler County Community College was awarded a state grant in the amount of $347,834.
The grant is intended to increase access to dual-credit programs for high school students by increasing the number of courses that count toward fulfilling college credit requirements.
“This grant for BC3 will expand real-world opportunities for our region’s students, equipping them with practical skills, early college credits and a clearer path forward, all while reducing the financial burden on families. Programs like this ensure students (are) graduate ready to contribute, compete and succeed in today’s workforce.” State Rep. Marci Mustello said in a news release announcing the grant.
The funding was made available via the Pennsylvania Dual-Credit Innovation Grant and state General Fund appropriations.
