Allegheny Township official reelected VP of state township supervisors group
An Allegheny Township official has been reelected to serve as vice president of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, the organization announced Tuesday, April 21.
Charles “Chuck” Stowe, chairman of the Allegheny Township board of supervisors, will serve a one-year term on the board. The association consists of five officers, seven executive committee members and the former president, to oversee business and planning.
Stowe also serves as director of the Butler County Conservation District and is on Butler County’s Advisory Board, Butler County Community Partners Board, Butler County Transportation Improvement Program, the Pennsylvania Nutrient Management Advisory Board and is a former president of the Butler County Association of Township Officials.
Stowe was elected at the organization’s 2026 annual educational conference and exhibit show Monday through Wednesday in Hershey. He is active in the organization’s grassroots advocacy network, which addresses legislative issues, and has served on committees for nominations, finance, audits and rules.
The organization represents 1,453 second-class townships in the state.
