Cranberry Township has been named a Banner Community by the Allegheny League of Municipalities for the 14th consecutive year, officials announced Monday, April 13.
Being named a Banner Community indicates the municipalities distinguished themselves as “model communities through their commitment to sustainable practices, including professional development, intergovernmental cooperation, sound fiscal management and proactive communications to engage community stakeholders,” the league’s website said.
To be eligible for the distinction, municipalities must meet a set of guidelines, including training, certifications and a citizen communication program.
