The Armstrong County Community Foundation is preparing to host its annual Week of Giving event May 11 through May 15, in partnership with NexTier Bank.

The Week of Giving is a community-wide, weeklong event designed to encourage charitable giving and strengthen local nonprofit organizations.

Many of the participating nonprofit organizations will host open houses and special activities throughout the week.

Last year, the foundation raised over $499,575 during the Week of Giving.
