2 Pittsburgh men accused of stealing pellet guns from Cranberry Township store

Two Pittsburgh men reportedly used a U-Haul to steal tools and pellet guns from Tractor Supply in Cranberry Township, police said.

David James Bilicic, 48, and Paul Rossmont, 50, were charged May 8 by Cranberry Township police with one felony count each of retail theft and conspiracy, and one misdemeanor count each of receiving stolen property and conspiracy following an April 15 incident.

Police said they were dispatched April 16 to Tractor Supply for a theft involving DeWalt power tools, pellet guns and accessories, and hand tools the previous day.

Surveillance footage showed two men arriving in a U-Haul truck around 7:50 p.m. Police said the men removed items from their packaging and put them in a backpack while in the store for about 20 minutes.

Police said the men then exited the store and moved the U-Haul to a side lot beside the garden center. They then reentered the store, loaded a cart with additional items and threw them over the fence of the garden center toward the U-Haul.

Cranberry Township police said they worked with the Robinson and Ohio township police departments and U-Haul in Pittsburgh’s North Shore to identify Bilicic and Rossmont.

Their preliminary hearings have not yet been scheduled.
