High School Roundup: Seneca Valley girls cruise to victory behind McFadden, Hambly
Sophomore guard/forward Reece McFadden tallied 17 points to lead Seneca Valley’s girls basketball team to a 47-16 victory over John Carroll (Md.) at the Play 4 Mae Tournament at Woodland Hills High School on Saturday.
Natalie Hambly added 15 points for the Raiders (1-0), including three treys. SV made 20 field goals in the game.
Thomas Jefferson 63, Knoch 24 — Jada Burgard’s seven points paced the Knights in this loss at the Montour Tip-Off Tournament.
Boys basketball
Demetrius Crosby dumped in 29 points and Ky’Zir Rowan 14 as Summit Academy downed Apollo-Ridge 49-46 to win the Leechburg High School Tip-Off Tournament.
The Knights move to 2-0 on the season.
