Police seeking assistance in identifying 3 suspects accused of stealing

Harrisville Police DME. Austin Uram

The Harrisville Borough Police Department is seeking assistance identifying three suspects accused of stealing alcohol from Sheetz on Main Street.

The incident occurred around 10:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, according to a Monday, Sept. 22, Facebook post. The suspects reportedly stole $89.75 worth of alcohol.

Lt. Jordan Waclav said he has a list of suspects but has not identified the perpetrators. He said the items stolen were four cases of Twisted Tea and one case of spiked Monster Energy.

Sept. 26 update

The Harrisville Borough Police Department posted an update to its Facebook page saying the three suspects have been identified as juveniles.

Due to the suspects being juveniles, the police department and Butler Eagle have removed the security photo of them.

“We appreciate the community’s assistance and cooperation,” Lt. Jordan Waclav said in the post. “Due to the age of the suspects, no further identifying information will be released at this time.”

Waclav did confirm he had uncovered the identities of the juveniles with the help of surrounding law enforcement agencies.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Waclav by messaging the police department’s Facebook page or emailing police@harrisvilleboroughpa.gov.

The photo was removed from this post after the Harrisville Police identified the pictured as children.
