The non-section schedule for Knoch’s boys basketball team this season has been brutal.

Head coach Alan Bauman wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Knights have faced Moon, McDowell, Johnstown, Baldwin, Bishop Guilfoyle, Belle Vernon and South Allegheny — seven teams with a combined record of 127-19.

Knoch defeated McDowell, Bishop Guilfoyle and South Allegheny, and lost to the other four teams by a combined 14 points. Six weeks ago, they fell 44-43 to Johnstown, which is currently ranked No. 2 in the state in Class 5A by triblive.com.
