Rita V. Musthaf, 94, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Butler on March 31, 1930, to the late Joe and Clare (Michel) Kuhn.

Rita grew up in Herman and graduated from Butler High School. She was an active member of St. Clare Parish. She belonged to Christian Mothers and the church choir. Rita enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with family.

Rita is survived by her children, Bob (Joyce) Geibel, Ralph (Denise) Geibel, Geraldine (Joe) Geibel, Josephine (Rodney) Rhodaberger, Cletus (Lisa) Geibel, Mary (Ed) Grenet, Margie (Steve) Geibel, Martha (Mark) Pflugh and Patrick (Michaele) Geibel; 37 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Rita was preceded in death by Regis Geibel, Gerald Geibel and Joe Musthaf; her two children, John and Christine; her sisters, Birty Lou Steighner, Wilma Bauer and Yvonne Orloski; and her four grandchildren, Sylvester Rhodaberger, Nicholas Geibel, Rodger Geibel and Angelise Rudolph.

MUSTHAF — All services for Rita V. Musthaf, who died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, were made through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, Saint Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Wendelin Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler. Burial will be held privately.
