Peoples Natural Gas representatives and Pennie’s Bake Shop & Espresso Bar owner, Michael Bestwick presented the Children’s Advocacy of Butler County with a $1,000 check on Aug. 9 at Pennie’s in Butler.
The donation has taken Peoples’ Eat, Drink, Help program past the $200,000 milestone, with the money being given to 125 charities across Western Pennsylvania over the past eight years.
The initiative partners with businesses, allowing them to choose a local charity to receive a $1,000 donation once 1,000 items have been purchased by its patrons.
