Credit union offering safe driving course for seniors
The Armco Credit Union, in collaboration with the organization Seniors for Safe Driving, will be offering a one-day driving course to help seniors age 55 or older refresh their driving skills and learn more about vehicle safety, how to drive defensively and the rules of the road.
Around 25% of all Pennsylvania drivers are over the age of 55, and while most have fewer crashes, based on information provided the by the state, the percentage of crashes per mile is much higher than those who are younger.
The classroom event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mars branch, located at the intersection of Rout 228 and Myoma Road. Interested parties can get more information and register at www.SeniorsForSafeDriving.com or by calling 1-800-559-4880.
