Louis ‘Bob’ Reges

Louis R. “Bob” Reges, 90, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Quality Life Service — Chicora.

He was born March 20, 1934, in Butler, the son of the late William J. Reges and Tessie (Hankey) Reges.

Bob jointly owned and operated Reges Auto Wrecking on Route 38, with his brother, Bill. Bob enjoyed NASCAR, gambling, going to camp and to flea markets.

Surviving are his daughter, Cindy (Guy) Martsolf of Butler; son, Dave (Sandy) Reges of Butler; daughter-in-law, Sally Reges; grandchildren: Chad, Gary “Louie” Jr. and Shawn Reges, Robert Martsolf, Tracy Bester, Kelly Kriley, Stacy Cameron and Zach Reges; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan, Autumn, Seth, Patience, Izabella, Jazmin, Brooke, Maggie Ann, Meredith, Mary and Amos; and two great-great-grandchildren, Braxton and Carson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley J. Reges, who died Nov. 9, 2022; and a son, Gary Reges.

REGES — Friends of Louis R. “Bob” Reges, who died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Monday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Matt Perkins, of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be private.
