The descendants of the late Lawrence Joseph Spurk gathered for a family reunion on June 2 at Connoquenessing Borough Park.

The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Spurk’s five sons and two daughters gather each summer on the first Sunday in June.

The oldest relative this year was Dave Carr, 79, of Connecticut. The youngest was Allie Spurk, 11-months-old, of Evans City.

The relative who traveled the furthest was Doug Brock, of Kansas City, Mo.

The Spurk family started on a farm in Forward Township that is still in the family.
