Sasse

Russell Alan Sasse, 67, of Worthington, Pa., went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

He was born in Cabot on Oct. 1, 1956, and was the son to the late Alan “Deter” Sasse.

Russell graduated from Knoch High School and then was employed at Armstrong Cement for 38 years. He was known for being very family oriented; he loved to hunt, fish and go camping and enjoyed being outdoors with his wife and his best friend, his son Joshua. And was an avid Steelers fan and loved his dog, Shelby.

Russell was an amazing, loving, kind and wonderful husband to Joyce (Wissinger) Sasse since their marriage in 1987; father of Joshua (Jess Williams) Sasse; and grandfather of Payge, Kaydence and Charity Sasse. He will be forever loved by the Wissinger family, especially his best friend, Rick Wissinger, and many other friends.

Along with his father, Russell was preceded in death by his son, Eric Sasse, and his sisters, Deborah Sasse, Kimberly Sasse and Kathy (Sasse) Kelley.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the VNA nurses at Butler for their love and care.
