Moraine, Jennings to have free sunscreen dispensers

State parks across Pennsylvania, including Moraine State Park and Jennings Environmental Education Center, will again provide free sunscreen to visitors throughout the summer.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ sunscreen program began in 2017, when its Bureau of State Parks began supplying free sunscreen at Codorus and Pine Grove Furnace state parks. The program now has the potential to reach an estimated 3 million visitors this season, according to the DCNR.

DCNR secretary Cindy Adams Dunn announced an expansion of the program at state park beaches and swimming pools throughout the state ahead of National Sunscreen Day, which was Monday.

Pole-mounted, battery-operated dispensers, supplying 30+ SPF Sun Station USA sunscreen applications, will be positioned at 52 state parks.
