Gary Grossman
Gary Grossman, 79, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1944, in Evans City, he was the son of James W. Grossman and Betty (Christie) Grossman.
Gary served in Vietnam in the airborne infantry and the Gulf War/Operation Desert Storm as a transportation specialist, totaling 25 years in the service. He worked at U.S. Steel and as a truck driver for Lou Negley’s Bottled Water. He was a member of Saxonburg Memorial Church. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman, but above all he loved spending time with family.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Grossman of Butler; sons, Dean (Christine) Grossman of Troy, Ohio, and Michael (Christine) Grossman of Saxonburg; daughter, Kim (Michael) Shaw of Fairmont, W.Va.; brother, David (Karen) Grossman of Butler; eight grandchildren, Brad Dennis, Chelsee (Seth) Dennis, Andrew Grossman, Shannon (Justin) McAtee, Justin (Allyson) Grossman, Ryan Grossman, Matthew (Tatum) Grossman and Emily Shaw; two great-grandchildren, Delilah McAtee and Waylan Grossman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elana Grossman.
GROSSMAN — Friends of Gary Grossman, who died Saturday, May 25, 2024, will be received from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with military honors at 6 p.m.
A service will follow with Pastor Carmen Shullo Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Saxonburg Cemetery.
