Frances Collins “Dee” Reck, of Butler, formerly of Bethel Park, Pa., passed from this life to the next on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the age of 93.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Dick Reck; her parents, Walter Collins and Hazel Uselton Collins; and her sister, Nancy Collins Councilor. She is survived by her brother, Walter Collins Jr.

Dee was loved by her children, Jack (Anita) Reck, Jill (Bob) Todd, Jane (Craig Liden, deceased) Reck and Dick (Janet) Reck Jr.

Grandee loved her grandchildren, Sarah Reck, Dave (Carllie) Reck, Emily (Greg Beres) Todd, Ben Todd, Dan Reck, Chris Reck and Issy Liden; and her great-grandchildren, Alex and Bailey Reck.

She will be remembered as a woman who supported, without condition, those she loved. Through most of her life, she hummed happily, was masterful at bridge and remarkable at crossword puzzles, embraced Pittsburgh sports teams despite their record, and strove to be her best.

The family expresses its deep appreciation to the staff at Lowrie Place in Butler for their four-year loving and compassionate concern for Miss Dee, especially during the last six months, as well as to Monarch Hospice.

RECK — A funeral Mass for Frances Collins “Dee” Reck, who died Thursday, May 16, 2024, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Germaine Catholic Church, 7003 Baptist Road, Bethel Park, Pa.; a visitation with the family at the church will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be alongside her husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements were entrusted to SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, Sewickley.
