Brown wins 2 more in harness racing

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove two horses to victory during harness racing action Saturday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Brown guided TF Rocketman to a win in an $8, 500 Claiming Pace, then teamed with trainer Steve Schoeffel of Evans City to lead Open Bar to victory in a $7,800 Conditioned Trot. Kathy Schoeffel and Marian Schilling, both of Evans City, own Open Bar, as does Daniel Goehle.

All-section baseball team announced

The WPIAL Section 4-4A has released its all section team, with Knoch and North Catholic players earning honors.

Making first team are Knoch infielder Brady Wozniak and outfielder Logan Cypher, along with North Catholic infielder Tommy Koroly, outfielder Ryan Shantz, pitcher Tommy Schafale, catcher Blake Primrose and designated hitter Anthony Senecke.

Making second team are Knoch infielder Cooper Allison and pitcher Zane Pacek, North Catholic infielder Josef Safar and pitcher Caden Williams.
