Whitling

Sandra “Sandy” Whitling, 73, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

She was born in Lockport, N.Y., on March 13, 1951, to the late John and Laura (Melcher) White.

Sandy enjoyed baking, listening to country music, going to bingo and spending time with her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Tom Whitling, whom she married on Jan. 27, 1973; mother of Sheri (Shawn) Huffman, Laura (Tyrone) Mitchell, Thomas (Jen) Whitling Jr., Tammy (Chad) Basham, Stephanie (Greg) Whitling and Michael Whitling; sister of John (Jean) White and Bob (Pam) White; grandmother to 19; and great-grandmother to five.

Along with her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Tim Whitling.

WHITLING — Family and friends of Sandra “Sandy” Whitling, who died Saturday, May 18, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
