John Fox

Fox

John William Fox, 77, of Cherry Tree, Pa., died on Monday, May 13, 2024, in Webster, N.Y., surrounded by his loving family.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 plus years, Rowena M. Fox (King); his daughters, Neysha E. Fox of Henrietta, N.Y., and Meghan L. Fox and her husband, Matthew Roderick, of Webster, N.Y. His crumbs will be missed by his granddogs, Adler, Atreus and Lucy.

John, a retired over-the-road truck driver and former coal miner of the Greenwich Collieries, was a man of many passions. He found joy in traveling, spending winters at his Florida home in Zephyrhills, making wine, driving his MG Midget, and tinkering with whatever he could find. His love for oldies music and euchre was shared with his family, whom he cherished dearly. John's warm personality allowed him to make friends wherever he went, and he was always ready to share stories with loved ones and strangers alike.

He was a blessed member of the Pine Flats Church of God, Clymer, Pa.

John was preceded in death by his infant son, Byron; his parents, Kenneth B. and Mary E. Fox of Worthington, Pa.; three brothers, Merle, Robert and Kenneth Jr.; and dog, Allegra.

He is survived also by his brothers, Henry (Mary) Fox and Owen (Bersetta) Fox; sisters, Mary (Thomas) Green and Louise (William) Nulph; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
