Amy

Richard “Rick” Edwin Amy, 70, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, after a very short but courageous battle with brain cancer.

Rick retired after 30 years from Allegheny Ludlum, where he worked in the storeroom and met his wife, Barbara. Rick loved his family dearly and enjoyed traveling, camping, model trains and playing guitar. He had an impressive Lego village with trains in his home that was something to be proud of.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Kowola; a daughter, Melissa (Randal) Thompson of Evans City; and two sons, Richard A. Amy and Timothy R. (Trisha) Amy, both of Butler. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Madison Troutman (Elijah Goosby) and Maegan Troutman; and a great-granddaughter, Elliona Mae Goosby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David C. Amy.
