Seneca Valley hires director of student services

Cassandra Doggrell

The Seneca Valley School District board approved the hiring of Cassandra Doggrell as the district’s director of student services during a school board meeting Monday, May 6.

Doggrell previously worked in the Upper St. Clair School District, where she has worked for the past five years in roles including director of student support services and director of special education. Before working in the Upper St. Clair School District, she served the Seneca Valley School District for eight years as Haine Middle School principal, Evans City and Haine Middle School assistant principal, autism and emotional support teacher at Rowan Elementary School, and summer camp teacher for students with autism.

Doggrell earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education/Early Childhood from Grove City College, a Master of Educational Administration from Duquesne University and a Master of Special Education from Waynesburg University. She also earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh.

Doggrell will begin her position in early July and replaces Jeff Roberts, who will serve as a classroom teacher on the Seneca Valley secondary campus.
