Youth bereavement event coming to Middlesex Twp.

Good Samaritan Hospice will hold a free Youth Bereavement Care event from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8 at its location at 116 Browns Hill Road, Valencia.

The program, “Grounding in Grief,” will focus on comforting, coping skills and allow youths to connect to one another in an open space to talk about the grieving process.

Those who attend will learn grounding techniques and mindfulness to calm the mind and body. The day will include outdoor activities and a coping flower craft.

Activities will be held indoors in the case of inclement weather. Adults can relax and unwind in a breakout session where a bereavement coordinator will be available.

The event is open to youths up to age 21, and all youths aged 18 and younger must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Registration is required by May 31 at concordialm.org, then click on “events,” or by calling Brittany Foy at 800-720-2557, ext. 4428.
