Patricia Adamik

Adamik

It is with unimaginable sorrow we announce the devastating passing of Patricia Ann (Metzger) Adamik, 79, of Sarver, on Friday, Jan. 11, 2024.

She was born Nov. 27, 1944, in Natrona Heights.

She was daughter of the late William F. and Annie (Brucker) Metzger Jr. Patricia was the cherished wife of Paul Adamik for 56 years, whom she married on Sept. 16, 1967; and devoted mommy of Daniel P. Adamik and Pamela A. Adamik, both of Sarver.

Patricia was known to her husband and children as mommy. Her role as a mommy was defined by grace, sacrifice, support and endless love. They found her love to be a steadfast source of strength and tenderness. They will forever love their one and only mommy. She also will be missed by her beloved cats, Amos and Andy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by many of her dogs and cats; her sister, Betty Jane Kopnicky; and brother, Robert F. Metzger.

Patricia graduated from Har-Brack High School, Natrona Heights, Class of 1962. She then pursued a degree from New Kensington Business School. She worked for the former People’s Bank in Natrona Heights as a teller, then for Gulf Research in Harmarville as an executive secretary. Patricia later became office manager at Paul Adamik Sanitation Service in Sarver.

She was a member of the American Legion in Brackenridge. She loved reading the newspapers, watching TV and watching anything sports related. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking. She was a lifelong member of Guardian Angels Parish, Our Lady of Most Blessed Sacrament, Natrona Heights. A private mass of Christian burial was held at the church on Saturday, May 11, 2024, with the Rev. John Lendvai, pastor, as celebrant.

The family kindly request memorial contributions in Patricia Ann (Metzger) Adamik’s name be made to Orphans of the Storm, P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201, orphansofthestorm-pa.org.

May Patricia Ann (Metzger) Adamik rest in peace, and her spirit forever shine brightly in the hearts of all those she touched and all who loved her.
