Man accused of brandishing knife in Cranberry Township

A Cranberry Township man was accused of threatening another man with a knife Tuesday afternoon, May 7, according to charges filed by township police.

Adrian M. Truche, 30, was charged with misdemeanors terroristic threats and simple assault after police responded to a Collingwood Court address around 4:30 p.m.

Police said a man reported Truche was chasing him around an apartment while brandishing a knife. Documents showed Truche was threatening to kill the man while chasing him. The man was able to escape outside, police said, and Truche returned to the apartment with the knife.

The knife was described as black with a curved blade, police said, and was later located on Truche’s bed.

On Tuesday, Truche was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $20,000. His preliminary hearing before District Judge Kevin Flaherty is scheduled for Friday, May 17.
