Early in life she was an avid refunder, gathering proofs of purchase to rebate for money, gifts and product savings.

Surviving are her daughter, Terri L. Johnson; stepdaughter, Cordelia Ann Henderson; two sons, Charles Henderson Jr. (wife Kyong Cha) and Timothy P. Henderson; sister, Dorothy Smith; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Henderson; her eldest son, Artis T. Johnson; her parents; three sisters, Maxine McCall, Beverly White and Shirley Johnson; and four brothers, Richard, William, James and Walter White.

The family extends its thanks to the many health care professionals who helped care for Doris over the past several years, including Dr. Thomas Shetter, the staff at Butler Memorial Hospital, Concordia at Cabot and Advanced Care Center, and the many Concordia visiting nurses and rehab specialists.

Special thanks is extended to the family and friends who assisted Doris in many ways, and especially her two nieces, Adell McCall and Patricia Bodden, who were always willing to provide help and care during both the good times and more difficult times.
