Bice

Margaret Jane (Lumley) Bice, born Feb. 17, 1941, transitioned from this life to the next peacefully Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She had just passed her 83rd birthday and was residing in Zelienople at the time.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers, Thomas B. and Charles E. Lumley; and her ex-husband Lloyd G. (Jerry) Bice.

She is survived by her sisters, Sara A. Morgan of Harrisville, Dorothy E. Ruby of Northern Shore, Mich., and Mary E. (Beth) Beatty of Grove City. She is also survived by her loving children, Thomas G. Bice and his wife, Dana (Condrick), of Pittsburgh and Tammy L. Smith and her husband, Michael, of Columbus, Ohio; as well as her four loving grandchildren, Taylor T. Bice and her boyfriend, Eric Corrado, John T. Bice and his wife Kara (Van Balen), all of Pittsburgh, and Spencer M. Smith and his wife, Ashley (Hegarty), and Shaeffer M. Smith and his wife, Katie (Swaddling), all of Columbus, Ohio. Jane also got to see her first great-grandchild, Oliver Thomas Smith, before she passed into glory.

Jane worked her fingers to the bone in her life’s endeavors and spent the best years of her life ballroom dancing in beautiful gowns. Though her number one hobby was walking, she also loved to listen to music, puzzle and color, as well as swinging or rocking to her heart’s content. In her later years, she was a favorite of the Shenandoah community, tickling and giggling with staff there. Jane will be remembered with great love for the hardworking, attention to detail legacy she has left in her children.

BICE — Visitation for Margaret Jane (Lumley) Bice, who died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. May 18, 2024 at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
