Terry L. Shorts, 75, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Titusville on March 27, 1949, to the late Rexford and Josephine “Marie” (Gray) Shorts. He graduated from Mars High School in 1967 and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He honorably served as a Black Beret in Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star and the Medal of Valor for his bravery. He was a member of Steamfitters Local 449 of Butler, working as a welder.

Terry was the beloved husband of Sharlene (Mundis) Shorts since their marriage in 1989; stepfather of Mark Godfrey and Tiffany Talbot; brother of Kay Gardephe and Diane Genesse; grandfather to six; and great-grandfather to three.

SHORTS — All services for Terry L. Shorts, who died Saturday, April 27, 2024, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
