Yappy hour celebrated at beastly annual event
Animal lovers enjoyed the Butler County Humane Society’s 17th annual Fur Ball Saturday, April 27, at the Butler Country Club, where organizers really put on the dog.
The event kicked off at 6 p.m. with “yappy hour,” where a handful of furry residents of the humane society made appearances, much to the delight of the crowd.
A gourmet dinner — for humans only — and dancing followed.
Proceeds will go toward helping the animals housed at the humane society’s facility in Connoquenessing Township.
A basket raffle and silent auction rounded out the Fur Ball on Saturday night.
