Cynthia Cooper

Cooper

Cynthia Elaine (Webster) Cooper, 76, of Passavant Abundant Life Center in Zelienople, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, with her family by her side.

Cindy was born in Ellwood City on Nov. 11, 1947, to the late Arthur B. Webster and Florence E. (McCandless) Webster. Graduating from Seneca Valley High School in 1965 and New Castle Business College in 1967, she was employed by Herman Machine Co. in Zelienople as an office receptionist from 1967 until the birth of her older son in 1969.

She was married to Samuel F. Cooper on June 1, 1968. They had two sons, Mathew and Paul.

She was very active in the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church in Zelienople, serving in the choir for 30 years, as membership secretary for 25 years, and as a member of the funeral dinners ministry for 20 years.

She loved to cook and bake, and she used her talent to care for those around her. She enjoyed spending time with people, especially her family. Known as Nana to her grandchildren, Mckenzie and Moira, and MeMaw to grandchildren, Ann, Arthur and Claire, she had a gift of never meeting a stranger and always making anyone who encountered her feel valued. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Cindy leaves behind her faithful husband of 55 years, Sam; her sons, Mathew (Susan) of Butler and Paul (Sarah) of Zelienople; and grandchildren, Mckenzie, Moira, Ann, Arthur and Claire.

Cindy's family wishes to thank the loving staff at both Passavant Abundant Life Center in Zelienople and VNA Hospice Care; both played an important role in her end-of-life care and comfort. Thank you for your gentle and gracious attention.
